A review of the album "Goin' down that road"
When Mike Bonanza put together this CD of which he wrote 11 of the 14 tracks
he must of had a great deal of influence from the country 'n' western programs & movies of the past,
such as Bonanza & Rawhide, as it shows through in many of the tracks as no. 2, We're the Trailer Park Cowboys
& no. 3, The gunfighter, which starts off with a horse neighing and a cowboy talking half way through the song.
The title of these alone give you a good idea of the pace and feel of the CD.
Two of the covers, no. 7, Gene Vincent's Say mama & no. 13, It ain't what you do, an old Hurriganes song does stray away from the style of the rest of the CD
No. 6, Hot Roddin' (The Woodthorpe groove), is a great instrumental with some cool saxophone playing!
And all this is recorded in Eskilstuna Sweden, no where near a country 'n' western film set!

Another review of the album "Goin' down that road" (++++)
"That Eskilstuna has a living and dynamic music life
is something you notice when Mike Bonanza an' the Trailer Park Cowboys
releases their record Goin' down that road.
They have pissed in their own musical territory that they call cowbilly,
an untamed mix of rock from the fifties, country and western and a good
portion of old time rockabilly.
It is music you can hear streaming on high volume from hot rod's stuffed with horse power,
riding in a caravan to Power Meet or Classic Car Week.
With song titles like Hot Roddin' and Bury me in my trailer you understand that
this CD reeks of motor oil and Brylcreem.
The motor in the band is Mike Bonanza him self as with his hollow bodied orchestra guitar
gives it all, lots of echo and tremolo, chic solos backed up by stand up bas and brushed drums.
All songs except three are written by the band leader and this record must give this band a big break."

"John Lindberg Trio an' Mike Bonanza an' the Trailer Park Cowboys played with an energy that exceeds most acts I've seen!"
"Fisrt out i Mike Bonanza an' the Trailer Park Cowboys, who got to show what a great band they are!
Incredible drive an' weight, when they played several songs from their new album."
